Mamaroneck hires search firm for superintendent

Posted by: Aman Ali - Posted in Mamaroneck on Oct 06, 2009

friedMamaroneck’s superintendent Paul Fried (right) announced over the summer this school year will be his last. Now, the school district has hired the firm Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates to find his replacement.

One of the people that will lead the search for the firm is Bruce Dennis, Bedford’s former superintendent that recently helped Eastchester’s school district find their superintendent.

Mamaroneck schools spokeswoman Debbie Manetta said the school district will pay the firm $21,000 for the search. She added the firm will hold 28 meetings throughout the school year to gauge public input on the search.

The firm will be searching for candidates nationally and has until the end of the school year to find Fried’s replacement.
