Looking to scare up some fun? The annual “Scared by the Sound” Haunted House attraction at Playland begins today and continues weekends through October. The 10,000 square foot haunt is “complete with haunted wine cellar, library, attic, sanitarium and much, much more,” a county press release promises.
The scare-fest is accessed by walking through the Fountain Plaza entrance at the park. It’s open Fridays, 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturdays, 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. (including Halloween Saturday, Oct. 31), and Sundays 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The attraction will also be open Thursday, Oct. 29, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Plus “Hardly Haunted Matinees” for children 8 and under will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 24 and 25 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Admission is $14 for adults, $10 for children under 12, and $5 for matinees.
