Thanks to fifth graders at Trinity Elementary School in New Rochelle and Ms. Rosa, who invited me into their classroom on Friday. We talked about how to cover a beat and what makes a good news story. Like good reporters, the students asked lots of questions. They asked why I became a reporter; what was the best story I ever covered; who I would most like to interview; and how the economy has affected my job. The students are part of a student editor group that publishes a school newsletter and came to hear me speak during their free time. Here are photos from my visit.
