Pro wrestling comes to New Rochelle

Posted by: Aman Ali - Posted in New Rochelle on Feb 04, 2010

Must…. stay….. objective…

I just got some info about  “A Night of All-Star Wrestling” on March 20th at the New Rochelle High School. Scheduled to make an appearance during the event is WWE legend Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka.

I immediately got a flashback to when I was 7 years old and my dad took me to Wrestlemania to see this guy live. I have an urge right now to strut around the Journal News office and do Superfly’s entrance dance, but I will resist because I don’t need to give my co-workers additional things to laugh at me about :)

Anyways, the wrestling event is a fundraiser for the high school’s girls basketball team. It will feature a fight between midget Mexican wrestlers Mascarita Dorada and Pierrothito. I was tempted to make a joke here, but after seeing this video of Dorada, I quickly realized these guys could probably beat the snot out of me.

You can find out more info on the event by checking out the event’s Web site.
