Posted by: Leslie Korngold - Posted in Uncategorized on Mar 09, 2010

A gas station clerk fought back when confronted by a robber armed with a knife, police said.

Police said the victim, a Bronx man working at the 232 Boston Post Road, Port Chester, Shell station, was working inside stocking shelves when he realized someone was looming over him around 2 a.m. Saturday.

The man with the knife said, ” Give me the money,” as the clerk turned to face him, police said.

The clerk grabbed the knife, breaking it in two.

The robber fled

The clerk required four stitches to his pinky.

Police recovered a piece of the knife.

The robber was a 5-foot-7, 185-pound black man with short dark hair and a goatee. He was wearing a white shirt with an orange stripe across the front and blue jeans.
