Sickly coyote caught by trap in Port Chester

Posted by: Mike Meaney - Posted in Uncategorized on Mar 11, 2010

Staff writer Leslie Korngold reports this:

A coyote was caught in a foot-trap off Poplar Street in Port Chester, police said. The 20-25-pound animal was found in the trap at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The trap had been put out at the request of the village, Lt. James Ladeairous said, because a sickly coyote had been spotted in the area of the Casper Court complex. The trap was in the vicinity of 89 Casper Court.
The trapped coyote appeared to have mange, a contagious, parasitic skin disease, Ladeairous said. It was euthanized.

wow, what a comment!... Interesting since the issue of immigrants in our town has absolutely nothing to do with the actual issue of coyotes. my suggestion is to place ignorant people like both of you in these so called “coyote” traps. I bet you wouldn’t like it, huh?
