7 cars’ tires punctured in New Rochelle

Staff writer Will David reports:

Seven parked cars had the tires punctured early Thursday morning in New Rochelle.

Police were called to 215 North Ave. at 4:10 a.m.  to investigate the puncturing of one car’s tire.

The officers searched the area and found six other cars with tires either slashed or punctured at 19 Lawton St., New Rochelle Detective Capt. Joseph Schaller said.

No one was arrested.

    Why do I have to be alerted to a rash of burglaries in New Rochelle, and an interview with the police commissioner by CBS News and their 880 website? Does the JNews cover anything in NR other than punctured tires, traffic offenses and pencils?
