Coming Sunday: Special report on the high-end housing market
Since a peak in 2005, sales of million-dollar-plus homes in the Lower Hudson Valley have sagged along with the economy. With demand down, homes remained on the market for extended periods (sometimes years!) and prices dropped, to a greater degree than lower-priced homes.
But now there are signs that things are starting to turn around. Is that good news for the rest of the market, and the local economy?
A special report Sunday will explore the high-end housing market in Putnam, Rockland and Westchester and will feature detailed looks inside some of the most luxious homes in the area.
Read it exclusively in the print edition of The Journal News, available Sunday on newsstands and through home delivery.
