Groove Performing Arts in Larchmont, a place teaching fun and quirky music lessons to kids and adults,  celebrated its fifth anniversary this month (picture is from the celebration). After the jump are details on some upcoming classes they have.

BIG KID PLUS featuring Music for Aardvarks
Monday June 14 + 21. Tuesday June 15 + 22. Wednesday, June 16 + 23
11:30am-1pm

$75 for two 90-minutes classes (drop-off)
Groove has the perfect activity to keep your pre-schooler (ages 3, 4 and 5) busy between the end of school and the start of summer. This popular 90-minute drop-off program features Music for Aardvarks plus Big Kid favorites such as BoomWhacker symphony, drum circles, kid’s yoga, instrument making and recycled junk jam! Each session begins with a picnic lunch + story time with Groove owner, Lesley Barovick. Kids are asked to BYO lunchbox. Juice and a peanut nut-free snack will be provided. Class is led by your favorite Music for Aardvarks teachers.

PAJAMA JAM! featuring Music for Aardvarks
Wednesday, June 2 and 16 at 6PM

Pajama JAM returns to Groove on select Wednesday evenings this spring and summer! Sing, dance and JAM in your PJs! This evening Music for Aardvarks class celebrates later sunsets, warmer breezes and the beginning of the bike riding season…bedtime story and lullaby included. Pajamas are encouraged! The music is live and the vibe is truly original. Music for Aardvarks’ vast catalogue of music uniquely reflects and celebrates the lives of children. Music for Aardvarks is featured daily on NICK Jr. …you and your family can experience it live at Groove! Each JAM is led by 2 talented musician/educators who really know how to play. Ages 6 mos-5yrs.

Music for Aardvarks is featured daily on NICK Jr. …you and your family can experience it live at Groove! JAMS are offered on Saturdays and holidays to give working parents and families new to Aardvarks the opportunity to check us out. Each JAM is led by 2 talented musician/educators who really know how to play. Ages 6 mos-5yrs.

Groove is proud to host a monthly gathering of The Westchester Dad’s Meet-up Group, a brand new gathering of stay-at-home, work-at-home and freelance dads from throughout lower Westchester. After enjoying a session of Baby Rock classes at Groove, local stay-at-home dad, Seth Liebowitz launched this group in an effort to meet other dads who are home during the day.
