Car break-ins hit New Rochelle
Numerous items were stolen from six cars parked in front of homes on three neighboring streets between Monday night and early Wednesday morning, New Rochelle police said.
Several other cars had been rummaged through but nothing was stolen from those cars, New Rochelle police Capt. Joseph Schaller said.
All of the cars had been left unlocked.
The thefts took place on Weyman Avenue, Beattie Lane and Brady Avenue. The items taken included an iPod, small amounts of cash, jewelry, a computer game, and a digital camera.
