PORT CHESTER

Grace Church Street: Police accused a 45-year-old Riverside, Conn., man of mooning a woman he knew as she drove by him at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Police said they found Michael Martinez of 4 Bertolf Road sitting on a wall near where he had pulled his pants down and turned his rear toward a Port Chester woman, 49,  that he knew. He was charged with misdemeanor public lewdness.

Putnam Avenue: A Yonkers man demolished a wheel-locking boot a private guard put on his Lincoln Town car, as well as the undercarriage of the car, when he drove off with the boot Tuesday night. Police said Imad Saleh, 45, of 46 Bennett Ave. parked the car in a private lot marked for customers only at 26 Putnam Ave. shortly before 10 p.m., when the business was closed. While across the street at a Chinese restaurant, a security guard booted the car. Refusing to pay the $70 fee for its removal, Saleh  attempted to drive off. Police said the Lincoln Town car, impaled on the boot, had canceled Connecticut plates on it. Saleh was charged with fourth-degree criminal  mischief for destroying the boot and ticketed for having an unregistered vehicle.

Westchester Avenue: Someone entered the basement of 315 Westchester Ave. through a window and stole $700 in clothing, a lamp and a mirror Sunday or Monday. The burglary was reported 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Westchester Avenue: A Stamford, Conn., man reluctantly paid two men $40 for spray painting his car in the Costco lot Monday afternoon. Police said two men in an old black Ford Explorer pulled up next to the man’s parked car, offered to repair scratches on the vehicle for $100 and proceeded to spray paint the car even though the victim refused their offer. When they finished they demanded $100; he offered $20. All finally settled on $40. No one was arrested in the scam.

Parker Street: A bottle of Valium capsules, a sterling silver chain and bracelet were stolen from an apartment between 10:30 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. Monday.

Waterfront Place: Someone smashed a window on a car and stole a GPS while it was parked on the first floor of the Stop & Shop lot late Monday early Tuesday.

Seriously, we’re arresting people for mooning? Christ this is an uptight country.

  3. Joshua says:

So someone pulls up and starts spray painting your car while you refuse, and you STILL pay them?! Sorry this individual is dumb as a door knob.

  4. The guy trying to drive off with a boot on his car is the best, in my opinion.

SHINE ON, SHINE ON, HARVEST MOON
