Pelham Police Blotters: Robbery, Burglaries & Stolen Car
PELHAM MANOR
Witherbee Avenue: A 2008 Lexus GX470 was stolen from a residential driveway between 12:30 a.m and 3:49 a.m. Tuesday. The homeowner said he heard a “beep” from outside around 1:30 a.m. but did not investigate and found the car gone when he was leaving for work.
Pelham Parkway: Someone put a 6- to 8-inch scratch into the passenger-side door of a woman’s car while it was parked at Omni Fitness between 6:15 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. Wednesday.
PELHAM VILLAGE
Lincoln Avenue: Someone kicked in a 50-block apartment door around 9:25 a.m. Wednesday and called the resident bragging about it. The woman may know the man, police said. Police are looking for him. Damage was $500.
Lincoln Avenue: Someone broke the outer pane of a double paned basement window at 10:48 p.m. Monday.
Corona Avenue: Someone stole a Mac Notebook and a woman’s purse containing her Chase debit card and personal papers from her apartment between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. Sunday. About $600 in charges were made on the card in the Bronx by mid-day Sunday.
Third Avenue: Three men came up behind a Pelham woman walking toward Lincoln Avenue at 7:35 p.m. Fridayand grabbed her pocketbook from her shoulder. Threatened by one of the men with a raised black stick, the victim said, “No, no, just take it,” according to a police report. The men fled south in a black SUV. Two MetroCards, valued at $50, $40 cash, and $80 head phones were stolen as well as bank debit and Visa cards.
