Cleveland Avenue: Pasquale Romeo, 43, of 2 Cleveland Court in New Rochelle, was arrested for threatening another city man with a claw hammer during a dispute over snow plowing on Cleveland Avenue, police said. Police said Romeo and the 48-year-old New Rochelle victim argued about where the suspect was plowing snow from his truck at 9:30 a.m. Friday.
Police said the victim complained to them of being threatened by Romeo. Romeo was arrested by New Rochelle police and charged with second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor. — Will David

May Street: A 28-year-old city man and the superintendent of a May Street building were arrested in connection with a party held in a vacant apartment there because there was alcohol served and children were in attendance, New Rochelle police said. There were 38 teenagers ranging in ages from 15 to 17-years-old at the 18 May Street Party, New Rochelle Detective Captain Joseph Schaller said. Police were called to the apartment building on a noise complaint at 9:46 p.m. Friday. When police arrived they found the party in full swing. Teenagers were there and alcohol was being served, Captain Schaller said. Juan Valencia, a resident of the building, sponsored the party in the multi-family house, Captain Schaller said. He was given permission to have it in the vacant apartment by the superintendent, Vargas Ramirez, 34, who resides in the building. Both men were charged with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child, a misdemeanor. — Will David

Neptune Avenue: Jose Lopez, 28, of 25 Neptune Ave. was arrested for third-degree assault, a misdemeanor, for attacking his sister at 12:54 a.m. Sunday in their apartment. Police said the 20-year-old victim was hit in the face and bit during the assault. The assault resulted from a domestic dispute in the house, police said. — Will David

Locust Avenue:
New Rochelle police are investigating a burglary at a Locust Avenue apartment. A resident of the apartment told police that she left home at 4:50 p.m. and returned at 7:45 p.m. Saturday to find jewelry missing. When the woman returned home she told police the door was opened. The woman told police that she locked the door with a dead bolt lock before leaving.

Chauncey Avenue: A 32-year-old New Rochelle man was assaulted and robbed of his wallet containing $150 as he walked on Chauncey Avenue, police said Monday.
The victim was walking on Chauncey Avenue near Mount Joy Place when he was approached from behind by three men who hit him  and rifled through his pockets after subduing him at 4:12 p.m. Saturday.

Castle Place: A global positioning system was stolen from a 2007 Jeep Wrangler that was parked on Castle Place, New Rochelle police said. The Jeep was parked on Castle Place between 4:45 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday. A front passenger window was broken to gain access into the vehicle. — Will David
