MAMARONECK — Miss Westchester 2011 Christina DeLeon will be a hostess at LMC-TV’s 21st annual “Award Night” ceremony, 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 28, at the Emelin Theatre, 153 Library Lane, the public access station announced.
DeLeon was crowned the county-wide beauty queen last fall. Her interest in protecting the rights of students with disabilities coincides with the theme of the LMCT-TV show “As You Are,” according to Erik Lewis, the station’s executive director.
“I am thrilled to welcome Christina DeLeon to the LMC-TV family and have her be a hostess at our Award Night,” he said.
LMC-TV, which serves Larchmont, Mamaroneck and Rye Neck, will also salute Her Honor Mentoring program at the ceremony. The mentoring program pairs high school girls with professional female role models. It was founded by Judith Sheindlin of the TV show “Judge Judy,” her step-daughter Nicole Sheindlin of Larchmont and Patricia Lanza of the Lanza Family Foundation.
The night’s emcees are Vincent Graziano, owner of Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home in Mamaroneck, and his daughter, Jennifer Graziano Mangano, former head of the Mamaroneck Chamber of Commerce. The show will also feature music by the “Still Tryin’” duo and stand-up comedy by Rye Neck High School student Mark Hassenfratz.
The event is free and open to the public. It will be telecast live on Cablevision/75 and Verizon FiOS/36, and streamed live online at www.lmc-tv.org.
