The College of New Rochelle holds its fourth annual Fitness for Life! Day this Thursday. It begins at 9 a.m. with a 1-mile walk/run, starting at the Maura Lawn. From 10 a.m. to noon, and then again from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., members of the community can head to the Wellness Center Gymnasium for free “body composition” testing — find out your metabolic rate and what it means, for example.
Abiyot Endale, an Ethiopian national athlete and one of the relatively few people who can run a mile in under four minutes, will be on hand to lead a warm-up.
And in the evening, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Romita Auditorium, Matt Bellace, a comedian and psychologist will give a presentation titled “How to Get a Natural High.”
