The Sound Shore Medical Center just received a $2,000 donation from the New Rochelle Rotary Club for diabetes education, the medical center announced.
The Rotary Club and the hospital have “supported each other’s efforts” for more than 40 years, the medical center said.
“Sound Shore Medical Center is proud of its history of helping improve the quality of life of individuals living and working in our community,” Sound Shore Medical Center President and Chief Executive John Spicer said in a release. “The Rotary’s civic-mindedness will help with our mission.” He concluded, “We are grateful for their support with our diabetes education efforts.”
The money will held the outpatient education program of the Cappelli Diabetes Center, the release said.
