Public invited to attend County Executive’s Town Hall, ask questions
Attention residents and businesses in the Pelham area: You are invited to a Town Hall with County Executive Robert P. Astorino to be held on July 18 at 7 p.m. at Pelham’s Daronco Town House. The hour-long town hall meeting will be moderated by Pelham Supervisor Peter DiPaola.
Have a question about property taxes? Interested in an update on the county’s affordable housing settlement? Want to tell Astorino about something on your mind?
This is your opportunity.
The Pelham forum is Astorino’s latest in a series of “Ask Astorino” outreach initiatives. Last month, Astorino hosted a similar town hall in North Salem. He has also held four tele-town hall meetings, where listeners were able to participate by telephone, Facebook and Twitter.
“These town hall meetings are a great way for me to find out what is on the minds of our residents and businesses,” said Astorino. “I look forward to next week’s conversation.”
Astorino will give an update on the progress his administration is making in delivering on his three major goals: providing tax relief, preserving essential services and promoting economic development. Residents will then be invited to ask questions.
Pelham Town Supervisor Peter DiPaola said, “This is a great opportunity for our residents to speak face-to-face with our county executive about matters that truly concern them the most. I am honored that Mr. Astorino is coming to our community and hope to see many of our residents and business owners there.”
The Daronco Town House is located at 20 Fifth Ave., next door to the Pelham Town Hall.
