It seems New Rochelle is always looking for ways to highlight its waterfront. And why not? It’s a scenic highlight of the region.
Now the city has found a new way to flaunt what it’s got—a waterborne parade of lighted boats. This Saturday is the fourth annual edition of the event.
Here’s the announcement:
Lighted Boat Parade Showcases Long Island Sound, Boating Community
Join the boating community for some midsummer night festivities on Saturday, July 28 from 8:30-10 PM at the “Holiday Lighted Boat Parade”. This 4th annual event celebrates the City of New Rochelle’s beautiful waterfront and public parks.
Just after sunset, vessels will begin at the Hudson Park sundeck and parade westward along the City’s shoreline, with public viewing along Hudson, Sharkey and Neptune Parks. With over 20 vessels pre-registered, this year’s parade promises to be the best one yet.
