Kevin Allan, a graduate of Manhattanville College, in Harrison, has been named senior vice president of development at AmeriCares, a global health and disaster relief organization. He will oversee the organization’s fundraising efforts.

“I am excited to join AmeriCares in improving health and saving lives all over the world,” Allan said in a news release. “I look forward to engaging and energizing the supporters who make our humanitarian aid work possible.”
According to AmeriCares, Allan, who lives in New York City, had previously led development efforts for the Stonewall Community Foundation and worked on an HIV prevention program in India.
Since its founding in 1982, AmeriCares has distributed more than $10 billion in aid to 164 countries.
