A concert for kids and free ice cream. What could be better?
Nature Jams, a music show for children, will be performed Thursday morning at two schools in Pelham to end the town recreation department’s Tiny Tots Camp.
An ice cream truck will be on hand to service ice cream cones and cups free of charge, says the office of state Sen. Jeffrey Klein, who is hosting the events.
The concerts will start at 9:30 a.m. at the Hutchinson School, 301 Third Ave., Pelham and 11:30 a.m. in the Siwanoy School, 489 Siwanoy Place, Pelham Manor.
Here’s the text of a press release from Klein’s office:
New York State Senator Jeff Klein
Invites you to join your children and attend the Nature Jams Concert Celebrating the end of the Tiny Tots Camps Thursday, August 9th 2012 With Two Special Performances!
Nature Jams is a children’s music show for the modern day. This musical adventure is inspired by an upbeat attitude promoting good health, natural living, and friendship. Children practice reciprocity through call and response songs, practice turn taking through a split audience jam session, and can get up and move in some high energy dance numbers.
More information can be found at www.naturejams.net!
Performances will be outside in the school field.
In case of rain, the concerts will move to the gymnasium.
