NEW ROCHELLE A 46-year-old flag woman who was directing traffic on North Avenue the morning of Sept. 13 was injured when she accidentally walked into a 2010 Mini Cooper, police said.
The flag woman, a Mount Vernon resident, was taken to Sound Shore Medical Center in New Rochelle, because she complained of pain to the left side of her body.
Her injuries were not known at the time.
The accident happened at 8 a.m. Sept. 13 near Station Plaza, police Sgt. Myron Joseph said.
The woman, an employee of RBA Group, was directing traffic at a construction site, police said. The BMW, driven by a 34-year-old Yonkers man, had a green light and was heading south bound on North Avenue when the woman accidentally walked into the passenger side of his car, Joseph said.
No summonses were issued in the accident.
