The French American School in Mamaroneck will be hosting their fourth annual Thanksgiving meal Thursday for local families in need.
The sit-down meal will be prepared by the school’s students, teachers, parents and board members, said Cathernie Friel, a teacher at the school. In the past, the school’s hosted up to 300 people from the community.
This year, the school is reaching out to families and individuals displaced by Superstorm Sandy as well.
“They can just show up,”said Friel. “It’s our chance to give back to those who are in need.”
The meal, which will include turkey, vegetables and an array of desserts, will be served from 11:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. at the Mamaroneck campus located at 145 New Street.
