Many of the images from a book of New Rochelle photos, all taken the same day, now hang on the wall at the Cosi coffee shop and restaurant in the city’s north end, 77 Quaker Ridge Road.
That’s the latest word from resident Karen Hessel, who organized the “10-10-10 Project” to put together the 160-page book, “One Day: Photos in the Life of New Rochelle.”
An army of photographers was enlisted to thread throughout the city—and even fly over it—on Oct. 10, 2010, taking shots of the parks, the train station, houses of worship and other aspects of life in the city of 77,000 people.
At the same time, the organizers created a commercial for WVOX, 1460 AM radio: http://www.101010nr.com/101010nrcommercial.mp3
A Twitter account has also been set up: http://www.twitter.com/101010nr.
Here’s another note from Hessel:
Pre-Order pricing ending soon – The discounted price of $29.95 is scheduled to end on December 7th, but may end even earlier. After that the price goes up to $39.95.
