That’s the latest word from resident Karen Hessel, who organized the “10-10-10 Project” to put together the 160-page book, “One Day: Photos in the Life of New Rochelle.”
An army of photographers was enlisted to thread throughout the city — and even fly over it — on Oct. 10, 2010, taking shots of the parks, the train station, houses of worship and other aspects of life in the city of 77,000 people.
At the same time, the organizers created a commercial for WVOX, 1460 AM radio: http://www.101010nr.com/101010nrcommercial.mp3
A Twitter account has also been set up: http://www.twitter.com/101010nr.
Here’s another note from Hessel:
Pre-Order pricing ending soon – The discounted price of $29.95 is scheduled to end on December 7th, but may end even earlier. After that the price goes up to $39.95.
