The “Fun Bus” is being deployed to Rye Brook on Tuesday to collect supplies for people affected by Superstorm Sandy along the New Jersey shore.
The fitness-promotion vehicle will be at the Bruno M. Ponterio Ridge Street School during a student collection drive and assembly in the morning. Then it will stop at Rye Ridge Shopping Center from 2 to 6 p.m., collecting new toys, blankets, coats, pajamas, gloves, hats and other items for Jersey shore communities. The items will be distributed via the Salvation Army in Hillside, N.J., said Pam Jaffee, a publicist who is helping her Blind Brook school district spread the word.
