New Rochelle just issued a warning for people to get ready for a storm headed this way. Here it is:
Good afternoon. This is the City of New Rochelle with an important weather advisory.
A coastal storm is expected in our region late today and tomorrow. While certainly less severe than Hurricane Sandy, heavy rains, coastal flooding and gusty winds are predicted.
The City is preparing, and we urge residents to monitor conditions and take appropriate precautions. As with any storm, in the event of a power outage, contact Con Edison directly at 1-800-75-CONED. Report downed trees to 235-4029 or 654-2300. For additional information, please visit www.newrochelleny.com.
