Here’s news from the Village of Mamaroneck:
Westchester Joint Water Works is continuing with excavation work at the intersection of Waverly and Mamaroneck Avenues today where a water main leak has been pinpointed.
Road closures and detours were continued in cooperation with the Village Police Department yesterday.
Road closed signage and a flagman are posted. The flagmen will help with local traffic to the affected streets.
Based on the location of the leak, there is the possibility of a water shutdown later today which will only impact a small number of customers in this area. The customer(s) that could be impacted most are on the block between Waverly Avenue and the Mamaroneck River, and if need be temporary water connection(s) may be made should the shutdown occur during operating hours. If the shut-down is not done today, it will be done Monday, March 4, 2013.
We apologize for any inconvenience.
