Special education students and their parents can get advice about making the transition from high school to college or work at a fair in New Rochelle High School this evening.
The 11th annual Transition Fair will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the high school’s new wing on North Avenue at Braemer Avenue, just north of Eastchester Road.
Workshops will be held on college accommodations, work readiness, whole-life planning and other topics. A keynote address will be given by Jerry Mills, whom the district described as “an internationally acclaimed teacher, keynote speaker, motivational trainer, singer/songwriter and educational innovator.”
There will also be table-top displays and booths set up by a number of local and regional agencies, service providers, colleges and post-secondary programs.
