The Mamaroneck High School Red Cross Club is sponsoring a blood drive together with Congregation Sulam Yaakov of Larchmont Thursday.
Here’s a statement from the club:
Our goal is to collect 40 pints of blood, which can save up to 120 lives (each donation can save up to three lives).
The need for blood is constant – as the summertime approaches, inventory levels of the blood supply decrease. Donating blood now can make a big difference in getting through the challenge of summer. All presenting blood donors will be eligible to enter and win a $50 gift card raffle for Lowes.
Who: Sponsored by the Mamaroneck High School Red Cross Club together with Congregation Sulam Yaakov. The drive is open to all eligible donors.
What: American Red Cross blood drive. More information on donation eligibility and tips for a successful donation can be found at www.RedCrossBlood.org.
People are encouraged to make an appointment by contacting Eli Russ at (914) 522-8121 or MHSRedCrossClub@gmail.com; although walk-ins are also welcome.
When: Thursday, May 23rd, 2013 from 2-7pm.
Where: Congregation Sulam Yaakov (Social Hall, basement)
2111 Boston Post Road
Larchmont, NY 10538
Why: To see the community come together for a life-saving cause.
