Third graders at FE Bellows in Rye Neck have been busy wrapping up the end of the school year. Part of the end of the year included Japan Immersion week.
The programs were presented as part of the learning curriculum with numerous cultural activities including Taikoza, Japanese drumming; Bunraku, Japanese puppetry and an entire day devoted to the Japanese culture in class.
Students were exposed to the fine arts of origami and calligraphy as well as delicacies prepared by Rye Neck parents. The cultural arts programs were funded by the Rye Neck PTSA.
