A variety of New Rochelle-based community organizations worked with Family Services of Westchester to put together Girl Topia, a one-day-only boutique for 100 young girls whose families are in financial distress.
The pop-up shop was housed in the Mount Vernon VFW hall and boasted an expansive inventory of clothing, handbags and jewelry. New Rochelle Girl Scout Troop 1878 spent several months gathering and sorting the goods. Their efforts earned the group its Silver Award.
