Penny Oberg, a former president of the Mamaroneck Board of Education and a retired guidance and college counselor, was named president of At Home on the Sound, an “aging-in-place” community serving Larchmont and Mamaroneck.

Oberg and her husband, Tim, have lived at the community since 1977. She succeeds Lynn Reichgott, who has led the organization since its inception.
In a news release, Oberg said, “Looking forward, we need to make sure that those who can benefit from our services become members and that we continue to offer services which enrich our members and volunteers.
“The tasks of sustaining and growing are not the same as those needed for a start up, but are every bit as important. I look forward to getting to know the organization and our people better, and to being part of the next phase.”
