The Weaver Street Bridge over Interstate 95 in Larchmont will reopen to vehicle traffic at 5 p.m. today, with new sidewalks, surface and parapet walls, Mamaroneck town announced.
Here’s the town’s notice:
Weaver Street Bridge Update
The parapet walls, sidewalks and road surface have been poured and cured. The bridge will open to vehicular traffic today at 5:00PM. Pedestrians will be allowed to use only one side of the bridge until next week since the DOT will need an additional few days to complete the fencing on the south side of the bridge. There is still some other work to be completed but it will not prevent the use of the bridge by pedestrians and vehicles. Harmon Drive will remain closed through the middle of next week to permit continued storage of some construction equipment and supplies. There is also the issue of the graffiti on the railroad portion of the bridge. State DOT is still considering what to do in this regard.
